Mission Statement

To provide strategic guidance for DHP domestic HIV programmatic, policy, and research activities to prevent HIV infections and reduce HIV-related morbidity and mortality in the United States. Direct and coordinate DHP international HIV research activities that evaluate biomedical, structural, or combination interventions to prevent HIV infections and reduce HIV-related morbidity and mortality. To improve health outcomes, prevent new HIV infections, and promote health equity by leading national efforts to identify HIV clusters and outbreaks and supporting timely and tailored responses.
