In the article, "Update: West Nile Virus Activity---Eastern United States,
2000,"
on page 1045, the number of West Nile virus-infected horses with neurologic
disease from New York was incorrect. The correct number is 17.The total number of
infected horses in the United States for 2000 with neurologic signs is 58, with the dates
of illness ranging from August 17 to October 29 (Figure 1).
