final data for 1993. These data, final as of July 29, 1994, will be
published in more detail in the MMWR Summary of Notifiable
Diseases, 1993 (1).

estimates by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, Population Division,
Population Estimates Branch, Press Release CB93-219. Population
estimates for territories are from the 1990 Census, U.S. Bureau of
the Census, Press Releases CB91-142, 242, 243, 263, and 276.
